From its beginning in 1911 and through 5 generations, our company has been involved in Gainesville commercial real estate. The Parrish family helped to grow the City of Gainesville, bringing many businesses and industries to the area including Tacachale, Shands, VA, Santa Fe Community College (now Santa Fe College), Florida State Museum, Sperry Rand, Florida Farm Bureau, Bear Archery and General Electric.

Through their commercial construction business (M.M. Parrish Construction Company - sold in the early 1980’s), the Parrishes were involved in the building or renovation of many Gainesville landmarks including the original Woman’s Club, the Thomas Center, the Seagle Building, University Auditorium, the original Chamber of Commerce, the original Gainesville Police Headquarters, and Florida Field’s South End Zone.

In 1971, James M. Parrish (Jim) joined the company and established the commercial brokerage operation. In 1982, this family-owned company begun by the Parrishes in 1911 became the first in the State of Florida to affiliate with the prestigious Coldwell Banker brand.

Just like the City of Gainesville, our company has changed and grown throughout the years. Despite all the changes, our company’s commitment to helping build Gainesville into the best it can be continues to this day.
